1) weight is excessive. 50 lbs lighter is about where it needs to be.
2) hand controls aren't back lit
3) display is out dated. I dig the analog RPM gauge but seriously, small 2-tone dashes are so 15 years ago
4) no auto-blipper (don't care about quick shifting, but auto-blippers are better at getting you out of a tight spot than a slipper clutch)

5) wheelie control is tied to traction control
6) MTC doesn't have an "offroad" mode that lets you wheelie a predictable amount
7) can't adjust engine braking
8) stock pegs are too small
9) The final drive could lose a tooth in the front and 5th/6th could be taller to keep the efficiency

Has anyone come across a special tool for this, or made one ? I am currently riding around without those nasty little springs.
no fancy tool needed, just fancy technique.

Install spring into footpeg, then press both into the bracket, using footpeg as leverage until holes of both spring and footpeg align.
Insert ( might need to hammer in ) pin, insert & bend cotter pin - DONE!

$200 USD solves this effectively...

Like the styling, Like the power, Like the handling, Dislike the Hi-Low Beam switch, Dislike the short rear brake pedal, Dislike the bend of the stock bars .... and hate the fact that it's back at the dealer for the second time for warranty issues with less than 200 miles! ..... come on KTM, better QC please.

I suspect a lot of the comments above is about the R-version. Mine is not.

Love:
- Looks
- Power
- Versatility, even offroad with knobbies it handles well
- Suspension, even with passenger and luggage
- Heated grips (option)
- Incredible brakes

Hate:
- Out dated display
- Too "fiddly" to deactivate MTC and ABS
- OEM seat, pegs, wind screen, headlamp output and luggage carrier plate.
- A little too heavy
- Tool kit
- On-bike storage
- Offroad mode is a joke. (though the "Offroad ABS" mode is nice)
- Engine brake can't be adjusted
- Non adjustable brake lever

Mine got a bunch of new accessories from Touratech and Ebay. I'm glad I had that engine plate when I rode enduro tracks.

Hate the fact that it's back at the dealer for now the third time ... all previous issues are still unresolved

Love:
Clutch
Appearance
Riding position
Brakes
Suspension

Not so crazy about:
High beam switch
Soft throttle response, even in Sport mode
Kick stand attached to the engine cases
No warranty on anything other than the engine
Seat

One thing Iím not sure about. My seat is one piece (driver and passenger) but the accessory seat is only for the driver. How does that work?
