New member here. Picking up my KTM on Friday. Replacing my dependable KLR. Excited, but sad to see the KLR go.

I’m a new 1090 owner as well, 334 miles new and also replacing my 2007 KLR. Well, not really replacing as I’m keeping it around.
Can’t you just park it outside? 🙂

Interesting trend, I also came from a KLR650. Well actually I had a triumph tiger 800 in between. You'll love the 1090 and there really is no comparison between the two. However be warned that the simple mechanical nature of the KLR650 is gone with the 1090. Sophisticated electronics do scare me a bit on my 1090 but just have to trust it and see how it goes. Power/suspension will just AMAZE you though.

Man!! I wish I could. Can’t afford the two and need to recover what I spend setting up my 1090. My KLR was one dependable steed though.

yeh the old KLR has served a lot of people well, helped a lot of people cut their teeth into ADV riding.
