When I put my bike in gear from a stop it seems to me that it really crashes into gear. The bike always jumps forward a bit if I don’t have the brake on. Also, with the bike on the center stand, in gear, engine running, when I pull in the clutch lever the rear wheel never stops turning. I haven’t seen this with my other bikes. Is it normal on the KTM?

the 1090 has a multiplate wet clutch, and on start up the oil between the plates drains out, usually happens when the oil is cold and on start up, if it is happening all the time you should check the oil you are using

It's the oil the KTM dealer put in at the 600 mile service. This is my first bike with a slipper clutch so I wasn't sure if this is normal with them.
