Hi can anyone recommend a good aftermarket exhaust for the 1090 UK market , i refused to pay £880 for the Akroprovic from KTM

Hi, I've just ordered a wings shorty. Price including delivery to the UK and 3% PayPal surcharge is 492 euros.
It's a small company, possibly one man band, and he's on holiday, back tomorrow 16th August. Before his holiday I got very quick response to emails.

Just fitted my wings shorty yesterday, I removed the spark arrester and it sounds great. It's my 3rd wings exhaust and they are well priced and good quality, the first ride was 3 klms down to the shop and when I stopped I could smell something burning and noticed smoke coming out the end of the exhaust but when I then rode it back home the smell and smoke had disappeared, so don't be alarmed if it happens as it must be simply something in the manufacturing process. $ 921 Australian delivered.

Well that was easy, maybe now they should send me a commission check for the sale

On a serious note, if you get it, keep us posted on how you like it. Apparently the typical exhaust system gives its true sound after you really break it in.

Have now had info back from Wings, 492€ delivered for a I090 shorty Im also going for the heel protector at 67€ once fitted i will post some pics

What about Barrett from Australia? Price is the best of all others. Concerned about lack of heat guard for Rider however. Or, has anybody tried Arrow?

I've had Barrett before on my 525 as I live in OZ, no comparison to the quality of wings or Akro. Wings are titanium and carbon and shorter, Barrett is alloy and stainless but Good price. If you choose Barrett make sure you remove the screws holding the end cap on and locktite them as they have been known to work loose.

Wings exhaust and Heel plate

Hi All

I have now received and fitted my Wings shorty exhaust and I must say it looks and sounds great and all for £500.

I cannot fault Gorazd for his workmanship and communication and I love the free wings T shirt. I have attached a couple of images I hope they upload ok.

The Wings exhaust sounds fantastic. Have you noticed any change in performance especially on the bottom end? Does it pop during deceleration?

I read that the Acropovic is 25lbs lighter than the stock exhaust..seems to good to be true?

But isn't that's what Akrapovic is a bit known for? After all there's no way they could as for the prices they do and just deliver on sound. Much like what you see playing out in other markets, in automotive its a very similar situation.
