Hello from Northern CA,
The title is a bit misleading since this was 3 weeks ago, but I did get myself a 1090r. I’ve been getting some short rides in when I can, and I have to say I’m more and more impressed with this bike the more I ride it. Thanks for adding me to the group I look forward to what’s to come. Time to get this thing dirty.

Welcome to the forum Sno and congrats on the new 1090. Have you ridden an ADV bike before or is this the first you've owned? I know a lot of people seem to be transitioning towards them for the better ergonomics.

This is my first ADV bike per say, but I have many many years riding dirt and dual sport bikes, I have also had a couple liter bikes but that wasn’t for me. I’m close to loads of National Forrest and back country roads which is why I went this route. Bike fits me very well and has plenty of power for the pavement. A couple small mods and it will fit me even better. Just ordered the rox risers. That should make a big difference for off-road standing riding. Hope this helps you.
