Hello to all!
Just picked up my new 1090R this past weekend after many years on sport bikes. I've done the go fast thing for long enough and was looking for a new kind of challenge. Started on SVs, got into track days and have had several track and street SVs and eventually moved onto an FZ1 for the street and R6 for track play. After about a decade of playing in that arena, it was time for a change. I've always enjoyed sport touring on the fizz and the occasional venture onto broken or gravel roads and decided to finally step up to something a bit more equipped to handle off road riding. Q3s and DL roadsmarts just don't cut it in the sand down here in Florida!
I'm looking forward to developing my skills in this realm as I've not much experience in the dirt except for goofing on my little pit bikes. Much practice will be needed and many falls are expected but I'm for sure enjoying this new bike on the roads through the orange groves so far. I can't wait to get out of the break in period so I can rev 'er up a bit more!
