Hi new owner,

Just picked up my KTM 1090 R last Friday and have been looking for a lowering solution ever since.
Man this thing is tall :grin2: and don't tell me I'm going to get used to it.

I have found and I'm in the process of sourcing a solution from Solid Performance. They have a fork and shock kit to drop this bike two inches.

Apart from the fact that I'm worried I'll drop it because of the ground clearance issue. I really like this bike and am looking forward to putting some serious millage on this beast.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new 1090 R! I wouldn't imagine that it'll be too difficult to source a lowering kit to help make you more comfortable on the bike. Two inches is pretty substantial. Any idea what the parts are going to cost you?

Hi Konnor,

The set up I'm getting from Solid Performance is basically a Lowered shock, forks & side stand, They send you the lowered shock, forks & side stand for 3500us and when you swap out your suspension for the lowered ones, you then send your original equipment back to Solid Performance for a credit of 2650 and they use your original equipment for the next customer.

I expect to receive this kit in a couple of weeks, I'll post pics of the kit and install then.

BTW to anyone that is interested I have a Brand new in package Mizu 30 mm lowering collar for 200 cnd (that will lower the bike one inch)
