I just bought my 1090advR 3 months ago. I'm loving the power, the handling in both on an off road, the sound (specially with the akrapovic) and the esthetic of the bike.
My previous motorcycle was a BMW 800GSA and decided to change to KTM. I've been a motorcycle enthusiast for 17 years and love to travel (not as much as I would like to because job and family). I live in Mexico where there are lots of nice places to visit.
My only small complain of my new motorcycle is the speed limit. I have owned several bikes but never had one with that issue. Not that I'm a speed fan (if so I would have a sport bike) but you never know when you will need that extra speed.

Welcome to the forum, Top end speed is not a concern for me, Over 150 km/h and you loose your license and they tow your vehicle, to old for that kind of trouble

Yeah I know, it just surprised me. I know the 1190 doesn't have that problem and I prefer the 1090R any day. Thanks!!!!
