Instability at speed

G’day everyone!

I have had my 2017 1090 Adv R now for a year and I am running an Anakee front and Motoz Tractionator rear.
The issue I have is, when above 100km/h, the front end feels very flighty. Not that it weaves about on its own so much but any input to the bars will initiate a wobble that I fear could translate to a tank slapper at higher speeds…. Really not confidence inspiring!

I don’t know really what would be causing it or if it is a common trait of the 1090?
Could it be a chunky knobby rear tyre doing it? I feel I should be able to ride this thing fast without constantly feeling like the front is going to spaz out on me! And yes, all suspension was checked and reset to factory specs. Also changed the steering damper oil to 10WT which didn’t help. Any ideas???

Do you have any saddlebags or hard panniers mounted? How many miles do you have on it, and have you had the forks or shock serviced if over about 35000km? My 1090 is rock solid, so I suspect it is the mismatched tires...but then again I have never done that so I'm not sure what the effect would be. I have run TKC 80s and Anakee Adventures but always matched brand and type front and rear.
I don’t run panniers at the moment (have soft panniers but not on the bike yet). The issue has been there since I got the bike with 13000 km on the clock and haven’t serviced anything. I did check all comp and rebound and set them to ‘sport’ but last night I reset it to ‘standard’. I also checked my sag and it is spot on.
will see how it feels today after a ride to a mates and the rear will be replaced soon as it is getting low and VERY NOISY! Lol!

Oddly, at high speeds, and I know this sounds counter intuitive, if you get a wobble, let go one hand.
the fix I’m not sure.
I had it at 103 mph and if I had my hands off the bars slowing down it would get a shake at about 40mph.
I have thought about the beads but haven’t tried yet.
I did give the headstock a tightening crank and it elevated somewhat.
I think I will release the headstock nut and reseat it. I have very little trust in the monkeys who assembled it at the dealership before I got it. Love to hear other ideas
