Lowering?

8587 Views 6 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  mad_mardigen
Went to a local dealer to check out the seat height. Needless to say I was intimidated due to my 29" inseam length. I observed that the front forks could be lowered about 1.5 inches in the triples and am sure the preload on the rear could be adjusted accordingly. Does anyone know of aftermarket fork and shock kits for lowering?

Check out AOMC site, they always have a lot of interesting and useful stuff. I bought my Topcase there, great quality, fast delivery, amazing service overall.
How much are you looking to lower? Maybe a lower profile seat would help without the need to change the KTM's ride dynamics.
You can probably lower the seat a bit yourself or custom make one. There's always the option to shave a bit off and then put in a gel pad so it's still comfortable.
Get a lowering kit from MOTO Lab and have them install or get your local suspension mechanic to install. You will not regret it is like night and day in terms of control. You can have, I believe up to 2" lowered and you keep the original springs in case you want to convert it back to stock. Rob at MOTO LAB is great to deal with.
