Hello,

So, after waiting for so long to purchase my next and possibly my last new motorcycle, yeah... I'm getting older, I think I'm ready to pick up an Adventure 1090R.

It seems as if it would be the ideal bike for my style of riding. But possibly the Honda AT would as well. But I love KTM. So I have some questions which I will post shortly. But about me.

Ive been riding for about 33 years. Ive owned 30+ motorcycles. Everything from sport bikes to street fighter builds to cafe racers and vintage scooters. I currently own 6 bikes.

My biggest ride was 21 days from San Francisco through Canada and back to California on my SuperDuke 990. But I do a big ride every year. Hence the want for the 1090R.

All the best!

Miguel

Welcome, I.m 62 years old, and been riding since 1972 ..without any car, As you seem to believe it, I also bought ..my last bike, a 1090 and my first KTm.., 4500 kms since the end of September, and must say I love it , so light so powerful, so easy and simple and such a smile at each start,
I have retrieved my first "big" bike a Kawasaki KLE 500 , and the pleasure to not fear the weight,
This bike is a great one, so simple so efficient,
I hope you will soon discover all the benefits KTM put in it,

Wow! You guys are pros in the bike world!

Welcome to the forum Calspeed!

What is your plan for the next year? Canada again?
That's what I notice a lot with these bigger CC bikes is that they tend to attract people with a rich riding history which is often hard to find in just about any lower segment unless we're talking about something like a Panigale 899. Then there bikes like the Honda Grom that attract just about anyone you can think of, seen some Ninja H2 owners take interest in the Grom.
