Hi Martin1025,

I bought and installed these seats, although I have yet to try them out ( winter in theses parts )

The foam is definitely thicker so I would assume it will be more comfortable, it also raises the seat height about 1/2 inch.

As far as the heated part, I wont be able to try that out till mid March when it becomes legal to ride again.

I have the ergo seat and it's definitely more comfy than stock, especially the passenger seat. The only problem is that it makes an already super tall bike even taller. Riding two in town with that seat is a bitch. I'm 5'11" with 32" inseam and it's tall! Good for long distance though.

Gel pad

I just picked up a Saddleman gel pad from Revzilla. It wasn't too expensive and it's easy to put on and take off. I haven't done any more than 45 minutes on it so far but it's more comfortable than stock. I did notice that I can't just slide around on it. I have to deliberately lift up and move to the new position. It's worth a look as a low cost alternative to a new $500 seat.

I ended up buying the KTM heated seat. It is a little taller but also feels more narrow closer to the tank so my legs reach a little farther and I don’t really notice the height increase. Overall it is significantly more comfortable and the heat is very nice
