just curious if anyone knows what the sag is supposed to be and if anyone has stiffened up the front end with stiffer springs?

There's a lot of adjustment in the front suspension for both spring preload & damping. I'd try that first, but I'm not sure what the sag dimension is.

You need to two measurements one from the axle and a fixed point on the back fender a) which is when bike rear wheel is unloaded (center stand) off the ground and b) bike upright standing on its own you will need a friend to hold the bike.

The Static sag:
Full fuel tank 25mm or (0.98 in)
Empty fuel tank 20mm (0.79 in)

If the static sag is less or more than the specified value above adjust the spring pretention of the shock absorber.

The standard answer I used to go by for sag in long travel suspensions like the 1090R was 1/4 to 1/3 of total suspension travel. So, around 1.5 to 2.0 inches if we have 6 inches at both ends.

Oops, seems we actually have 220 mm (8.8 inches) at both ends. So it’s 2.2 to 2.9 inches (5.5 to 7.2 cm)

The manual lists 55mm front and rear as "standard". I have used the sagchecker device, but must admit it is tough to get a precise setting.
